A knee MRI scan on a monitor, reviewed directly before the consultation

Private and VIP care · Private clinic days

The clinic, closed for youHalf a day or a full day at 66 Harley Street, with nobody else booked.

Imaging directly before you are seen, a decision from Professor Lee in the same visit, and one coordinator for everything around it. Subject to availability.

Who it suits

Four reasons patients ask for the clinic to be closed

You need discretion

Your presence in a clinic would be noticed, and you would rather it was not.

You need it done in one visit

A diary or a season that cannot absorb a scan one week and a consultation the next.

You come with a team

Club doctors, management, family or security who need space and time with the clinic.

You are flying in

One planned visit, with the concierge handling the trip around it.

How the day runs

From the first call to follow-up

  1. Before the day

    One conversation, then a plan

You or a nominated person speaks to the coordinator. Existing imaging and records are gathered and reviewed by Professor Lee, and a virtual consultation can settle the likely plan before you travel.

  2. Arrival

    The clinic is yours

No other patients are booked for your session. You are met on arrival and taken straight through. Chauffeur transfers and The Landmark London are arranged where you want them.

  3. First hour

Imaging, directly before you are seen

Where a scan is needed it happens immediately before the consultation, so Professor Lee is looking at pictures taken that morning rather than a report from weeks ago.

  4. The consultation

    A decision, not a referral

Professor Lee goes through the findings with you and, where you want them present, your own medical or management team. You leave with a plan and a written summary.

  5. The same day, where appropriate

Treatment that can happen in clinic

Injection-based treatments can often be given on the same day once the plan is agreed. Surgery, where it is the right answer, is planned for a partner hospital a few minutes from the clinic at a date that suits you.

  6. Afterwards

    Follow-up wherever you are

Early reviews can be remote where clinically appropriate. Rehabilitation is written to be delivered by your own team, with the clinic available throughout.

A note on what this is not

A private clinic day changes the setting and the schedule. It does not change the clinical standard, which is the same for every patient Professor Lee sees, and it does not change the answer. If the right advice is to do nothing, that is the advice you will get.

Private clinic days

Questions we are asked

What does a private clinic day include?

The clinic at 66 Harley Street reserved for you for half a day or a full day, imaging directly before your consultation with Professor Lee, a single coordinator, and in-clinic treatment on the same day where that is clinically appropriate. Chauffeur transfers and accommodation through The Landmark London are arranged where you want them.

How is it priced?

A private clinic day is quoted individually once the coordinator knows what you need, and confirmed in writing before anything is booked. London Cartilage Clinic is direct pay. Where you hold private medical insurance it is usually pay and claim back using an itemised invoice.

How far ahead do I need to arrange it?

Sessions depend on the clinic diary and on Professor Lee being in London. The coordinator will tell you what is possible for the dates you have. Short notice is sometimes workable; it is always worth asking.

Can surgery happen on the same day?

No. Surgery is planned separately at a partner hospital a few minutes from the clinic once the plan is agreed and the pre-operative checks are complete. Injection-based treatments can often be given in clinic on the day.

Who will know I have been?

Only the team caring for you. Nobody is named in any public material and the clinic does not comment on who it treats.
