Care that stays out of the frame
Actors, presenters, musicians and dancers come to London Cartilage Clinic for joint problems that a physical role or a touring schedule has made impossible to ignore. Sessions are closed, timed around production, and nothing about your visit is public.
How a private clinic day works

A performer cannot always rest a joint when it needs rest. Shooting schedules, runs and tours are set months ahead, and the work itself is often physical. London Cartilage Clinic sees people from screen and stage in closed sessions outside production hours where that helps, with imaging on the same visit and a preference for treatments that preserve the joint and leave as little trace as possible.
Nobody is named on this page or anywhere else on the site. That is deliberate.
What you bring with you
The pressures the clinic plans around
Production does not pause
Sessions are arranged around call times, performance schedules and travel, early or late in the day where that helps.
The work is physical
Stunt work, dance and long days on set put real load through knees, hips and shoulders. The plan is written with the demands of the role in mind.
Privacy is not negotiable
The clinic is closed to other patients for your session. No names appear in any public material and your visit is known only to the team caring for you.
How the clinic adapts
In the order it happens
- Step 1
A closed session at 66 Harley Street
The clinic is reserved for you for part or all of a day, subject to availability. No shared waiting room, no other patients.
- Step 2
Imaging on the same visit
The scan is scheduled directly before your consultation with Professor Lee, so one visit produces a decision.
- Step 3
Options that leave little trace
Where the problem allows, injection-based and keyhole options are considered first, for the recovery time and for how the joint looks afterwards.
- Step 4
One coordinator, one point of contact
A single coordinator handles the diary, your records, transfers and accommodation through The Landmark London where you want it.

Private clinic days
A closed clinic, built around you and your schedule
For patients who need discretion, or simply need everything to happen in one visit, the clinic can be set aside for half a day or a full day. You arrive, you are scanned, you see Professor Lee, and you leave with a decision.

Questions we are asked
Can I be seen outside normal clinic hours?
Closed sessions are arranged around your schedule and the clinic diary, including early and late sessions where that helps. Speak to the clinic directly about the dates you have.
Who will know that I have been treated?
Only the team caring for you. Nobody is named in any public material and the clinic does not comment on who it treats.
Will treatment leave a visible mark?
That depends on the problem and the treatment. Injection-based options leave no scar. Where surgery is needed Professor Lee will explain exactly what to expect before anything is decided.
Can my production or management team deal with the clinic for me?
Yes. With your consent, a nominated person can arrange the diary, logistics and travel with your coordinator. Clinical information is shared only with you and anyone you choose.
